BBC TWO Documentary featuring Tatiana Chernyshova

This November I was a debutante at the Russian Ball in London. I was lucky to take part in a documentary about Russians living in London filmed by BBC TWO. You can click the link below to watch the edited video which only shows the bits of the film featuring myself. In the interview I share my thoughts about the event and you can see all stages of preparations. I feel very grateful to all members of the BBC team that were interviewing me and especially to Polly Steele for taking superb shots of myself playing the cello. Enjoy!

Happy new year!Opening the new concert season with Vivaldi concerto.

Hope you had a wonderful Christmas! I have just come back to London from snowy Moscow. I have recharged my batteries thanks to my lovely family back in Russia and now am ready to start a new busy performing season. There are a lot of exciting concerts coming up! I would love to invite you to the first concert on 2015. Together with fantastic cellist Auriol Evans I am going to perform Vivaldi's concerto for two cellos and orchestra with the young vibrant Arch Sinfonima founded by Chloe Vansoeterstede.

Interview for Russky London

Thanks to wonderful journalist Julia Varshavskaya for my first interview to the main Russian online magazine in London. Unfortunately it is not available in English but hopefully some of the Russian speakers will have a chance to read it through. Enjoy! http://russkylondon.com/post/1321

Member of Southbank Sinfonia 2015

Yesterday I have done my first orchestral audition ever. Today has been a good day for me because I found out my audition was succcessful. I am very excited to share the news with you. Starting in January 2015 I will be a member of Southbank Sinfonia. The next 9 months promise to be very busy with performing lots of exciting repertoire with wonderful musicians in various venues in London. I'm looking forward to meeting other members of the orchestra in the new year. The picture above shows last year's programme in numbers. Looks good to me!!

Luce Duo debut performance

I feel very lucky to have many talented friends. It only gets better when you have a chance to make music together. Alena Lugovkina is an exceptional flautist and we both started our education at the Gnessin's Special Music School in Moscow. Later on we reunited in London both having graduated from the Royal Academy of Music. After performing together for the first time in a piano trio we have been waiting for a chance to make our duo performance. Thanks to Tatiana Pechernikova and her studio "Dance and the city" for an opportunity to perform at one of her wonderful events.

CNN Interview

Russian Ball received a wide coverage in the international press and I am proud to have been interviewed by CNN amongst choreograph Leonid Pletnev, Hollywood actress Olga Kurylenko, and Princess Olga Romanoff.
